Safa Nepal App: A Game-Changer in Waste Management
Developed by CLEAN UP NEPAL, the Safa Nepal App is an open-data waste management and data collection system designed to empower local governments and citizens alike. The platform includes a user-friendly web-based dashboard and mobile application that allows municipalities to conduct evidence-based analysis on waste management, track waste collection, and enable citizens to report waste-related issues such as dumping, burning, and irregular services.
By providing reliable data on waste management, the app supports better decision-making and facilitates public participation, which is critical for optimizing waste management systems. Safa Nepal also features varying levels of data management access, ensuring that information remains up-to-date and context-specific, contributing to the app’s long-term sustainability within municipalities and cities across Nepal.
